About 200 papers were given at Congress of International Commission on Large Dams, in Edinburgh, 1964; 4 "questions" pertained to physical and mechanical properties of rock in situ, measurements on large dams, design of concrete, and high rock fill dams; 15 papers on additional topics and 11 national reports were also given; various papers on rock fill dams and rock mechanics, and report on Vaiont disaster are reviewed.
