Sheer strength of reinforced structural lightweight aggregate concrete slabs
Six light weight concrete slabs were tested to explore shear strength of slabs as compared to similar slabs made with normal weight concrete; tests showed that shear strength of light weight slabs is characterized by splitting tensile strength of concrete rather than by compressive strength; conclusion is reinforced by previous findings regarding shear strength of light weight beams.
