Design of lift slabs with reference to punching of reinforced and post-tensioned concrete slabs
Design procedures and maximum values of permissible nominal shearing stresses are dependent on rigidity of collar in radial direction; design of slab with embedded grillage caps is also discussed; method suggested in this paper results in closer agreement with actual conditions, and affords greater possibilities of varying dimensions and constructional details of collars; method has been employed for design of structure erected at Solna Center, near Stockholm.
