Action of bubble breakwater was investigated in tests carried out in Ship Hydrodynamics Laboratory at Feltham, England; tests were carried out on relatively large scale, under controlled conditions, and with reliable measuring devices, covering range of incident wavelengths from 10-40 ft and wave heights up to 12 in.; measurements were made of incident and transmitted wave heights, and quantity of free air producing current; film of each incident wave was taken and increase in height recorded by means of cine-cameras and marked boards; test equipment and observations described.
