Three interesting structural frameworks in Great Britain, which use laminated timber beams as main components are described and illustrated; structural framework for new church at Army Apprentice School, Chepstow, consists of 8 "A" frames of Douglas fir laminac bonded with resorcinol resin glue; framework of another church at Pitsea, Essex, comprises 12 half-portal frames of laminated European Whitewood also bonded with resorcinol glue; new Youth Sports Centre under construction in Newcastle upon Tyne has 36 laminated Baltic Whitewood arch ribs, each 104 ft long, which form dome of 206 ft 6 in. diam.
