Drying shrinkage and cracking tendency of concrete block walls
Report on Housing and Home Finance Agency Research Paper n 34 on extensibility of walls made of different kinds of block; emphasis is on chemical nature of binder of concrete and concrete block and basic causes of drying shrinkage; results showed shrinkage for any given type of curing was dependent on aggregate, elasticity of block, and tensile strength. (p 17-19, 30, 32, 34, 36)
