Barrage on Chao Phya River, Thailand, built at site where river forms loop; when completed, course of river was changed to flow through barrage, earth dam being built across old course; main structure of barrage is of reinforced concrete; 16 control gates are radial gates; there is 6 m wide double bascule bridge over lock.
