Tests of concrete containing Portland blast furnace slag cement
Preliminary results of research undertaken by Bureau of Public Roads show good results for Portland blast furnace slag cements; air entrained concretes containing Portland blast furnace slag cements give lower compressive and flexural strengths at curing ages of 3 and 7 days, equal strengths at 28 days, and higher strengths at 90 days than comparable concretes containing Portland cements.
