Preflex beam designed by A.LIPSKI (see Engineering Index 1954 p 97), is beam of high tensile steel, embedded in concrete; after hardening of concrete, load is removed and concrete is prestressed; it is light weight prefabricated beam of considerable bearing capacity; applications in buildings with large spans, factories, tunnels and bridges.
