Method of theoretical analysis for critical condition of elastic lateral stability of I-section member with opened web which is often used in temporary structures; equation is obtained on critical load and it is shown that effects of cooperation of lower chord member and web members with upper chord member are not negligible in lateral buckling, and consequently critical load of I-section member is considerably larger than that of case in which only upper chord member buckles independently. English summary.
