A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
Approach is put forward for including effect of strain hardening in plastic theory for structures; tests on full-scale structures and models invariably show disagreement between observed and calculated deflections in plastic range; author's experiments show that close agreement is possible if strain hardening is included in analysis; computer program for analysis of beams and grillages in elasto-plastic range, including effect of strain hardening, is described.
