Possibility of vadose-hydrothermal origin of celestite deposits in southern Tadzhik depression
Vadose waters seeping into formations increased concentration of strontium at lower levels; at greater depths vadose waters were heated and acquired properties of hydrothermal solutions; these waters migrated along fractures and fractured zones and deposited celestite now exposed by erosion; strontium was derived from formations at higher levels.
