Statistics for metal mines and also non-metallic mines other than coal; in 9040 mines, 118,429 men were employed; accidents resulted in 219 deaths and 18,055 non-fatal injuries; 8,892 individual mines were operated without fatal accidents, in California, 70% of mine workers were employed in fatality-free mines.
