Permissible composition and concentration of irrigation water
Review of research and California practical experience with regard to limit of permissible salt content of irrigation water, leading to conclusion that it is of greatest importance to apply saline irrigation water in quantities in excess of crop requirements in order that some leaching of root zone will take place, and therefore, maintenance of good drainage condition in soil is very important. (See also - discussion n 7 Sept p 1368-72 and n 9 Nov p 1721-2)
