SANDOVAL; Salinillas dam takes advantage of drop in irrigation canal of Don Martin district into Lake Salinillas; plant has two units, each with double runner; horizontal shaft Francis turbine of 1000 hp at 360 rpm; dam at Madero provides reservoir in creek valley of 25,000,000 cu m capacity; dam is of rock fill type.
