Experiments with reinforced concrete props at coal face
Seam was 3 ft 6 in. thick at depth of 500 yd and props were set on double unit strike face 285 yd long with dip of 1 in 7; it was demonstrated that reinforced concrete props set with release devices can be used over and over again on working faces under normal roof conditions.
