In order to minimize use of timber and steel, Turners Asbestos Cement Co, Trafford Park, Manchester, in collaboration with Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, prepared series of designs of typical structures in which Firm's standard asbestos cement tubular beams and purlins, sheets, and other materials may be used; products are non-inflammable, non-corrosive, and required no paint or other treatment for preservation.
