Natural air conditioning with roof ponds and movable insulation
Effective natural air-conditioning system was developed for year-round thermal comfort in arid regions; paper summarizes continuous thermal performance of test building in Phoenix, Ariz, during period, Aug 1967, through July 1968; objective of study described was to achieve thermal modulation; test structure was full-scale prototype erected to establish parameters which determine thermal effects produced by combination of roof ponds and movable insulation in building made with high-heat-capacity materials.
