Effect of sulphates on cement- and lime-stabilised soils
Results of laboratory investigation to determine effect of presence of sulfate ions in soils on durability of cement- and lime-stabilized soils; cement- or lime-stabilized clay mixtures containing calcium, magnesium or sodium sulfates disintegrated within few days of being immersed; cement-stabilized sand mixtures containing same proportions of sulfate were unaffected after being immersed for 1 yr.
