General structural action of prismatic folded-plate roofs of simple span is considered without derivations or formulas; numerical example of 2-unit folded plate roof on simple span of 56 ft is analyzed for combined dead and live load by approximate methods; results are obtained in form of transverse moments in slab, longitudinal flexural stresses and principal tensile stresses in plates, and shearing forces between plates and their end supports.
