Advanced roof concept
In construction of Bay Refining Co gasoline station, Midland, Mich, light weight aggregate concrete was used in forming roof shell; most of concrete was poured directly over wire-supported expanded polystyrene foam planks; precompression of foam boards was obtained by insertion of high density polystyrene foam wedges between planks and each beam.
