Research on bituminous pavements using sand equivalent test
Program of research on sand equivalent test and on correlation of sand equivalent number with asphaltic concrete performance, performed at Univ of New Mexico under contract with State Highway Dept; performance of asphaltic mixtures was measured in terms of Marshall stability and flow values after simulated weathering by soaking, by swell characteristics of mixtures, by loss in weight caused by abrasion, and by visual examination of stripping characteristics of mixes.
