Laboratory-field study of hot asphaltic concrete wearing course mixtures
Tests conducted by Bur of Pub Roads and Maryland State Roads Commission pertaining to degradation of aggregates; properties and performance of asphaltic concrete pavements, ranging in age from 3 to 12 yr, from 6 test sections to determine effect of gradation and toughness of aggregate used in asphaltic mixtures, rate of pavement densification under traffic, and effect of air voids in pavement on changes in physical characteristics of contained asphalt.
