Formulation, based on isocyanates and polyols and sprayed in place is effective in insulating and sealing passageways, reducing deterioration of rib and roof areas, binding loose and broken rock as safeguard against roof falls and spalling of ribs, reducing oxidation of exposed steel and containing mine fires; char formed by flame reduces depth of burning penetration.
