A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
Dam, 61 m in height was built across Hijikawa River; soon after reservoir was filled up with water, landslides occurred at 3 points along bank; Ochi landslide covers area of 400 m by 350 m and 25 m in mean depth, and measures about 3,500,000 cu m in volume; landslides were caused by underground running water, but it could not be determined whether groundwater was directly related to reservoir or not.
