Some examples are described of Norwegian practice in connecting lakes, situated 800 to 1000 m above sea level with hydroelectric plants on sea coast; notes on construction of tunnel connecting lake Markevann with 4500-hp hydroelectric plant, and tunnel connecting lake Skorgevann; tunnel in open sea for supply of seawater from depth of 20 m for chemical factory on southern coast of Norway.
