Cast iron pipe sewers throughout project range in size from 4 to 6 in. in diam and serve 3 classes of duty; first will collect seepage and general drainage from track level 48 ft below city streets, second will handle sanitary sewerage from station, and third will replace and relocate city sewers already in street to make room for subway structures.
