Effect of ceiling insulation upon summer comfort
Investigation deals with effect of insulation in limiting temperature rise of rooms in upper story of building with flat roof; temperature of ceiling measured, and effect of insulation in limiting rise in temperature of ceiling was determined; results show that lath and plaster or equivalent ceiling exposed directly to heat of attic will add materially to discomfort of persons in room below.
