A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
Report on tests dealing with heights and throws of jets at all angles, and in particular throws obtainable with limited rise of jet trajectory above nozzle, such as would occur in fire fighting in constricted passages or in mine roadways; check tests on efficiency of commercial fire jet nozzles, and on loss of pressure in lengths of hose; tests with following standard sizes of nozzle: 1/2 in., 5/8 in., 3/4 in. and 1-in. bore; examples showing use of various graphs. (See also - n 8 discussion Oct 1941 p 597-9)
