Measurements carried out with pressure cells and gages in order to make corrections in closing of hingeless arches; by weighing crown thrust at certain distance above center line of rib, and simultaneously at same distance below center line, this statically indeterminate structure could be rendered determinate, and corrections could be made in closing piece for errors, if any, in survey of span length, in skewback angle, and in fabrication and erection of ribs.
