Literature dealing with proposal to supplement or replace customary procedure of testing cements in form of dry plastic (earth-moist) mortars by tests of prismatic specimens of wetter consistence is summarized; author developed procedure for preparing and testing bending strength specimens of plastic mortar which is based upon use of graded sand and determination of standard consistence by means of flow table.
