June: Finland had in 1905, 25,000 km. of state roads and 15,000 km. county roads, total of 9,439 bridges and 191 ferries; more than half of bridges were wood and remainder of stone except for 35 that were partly of steel; description of bridges built since 1905, giving particulars and costs. July: Bridges built since 1919; 300 highway bridges have been built of reinforced concrete since 1921; cost of expenditures for bridge building has grown from 1,300,000 Finnish marks in 1921 to 27,000,000 marks in 1929.
