Testing and introduction of sprayed concrete supports in haulage drifts
Study of roof conditions in haulage drifts in Kazakhstan indicates that sprayed 3 cm thick concrete lining is efficient in rocks of medium stability; drifting in less stable rocks requires combination of roof bolting with sprayed concrete; combination of sprayed concrete with arch supports is recommended in fractured and faulted rocks; performance of steel bolts, wire rope, and wooden rods in combination with sprayed concrete.
