New highway research information service
Development of new automated storage and retrieval system called Highway Research Information Service (HRIS) is described; input to new system will be selected articles or abstracts of articles of interest to highway fraternity, indexed in depth in accordance with new thesaurus of index terms covering highway transportation research; system will include up-to-date information on research that is presently under way; computer techniques will be used to retrieve stored information which corresponds to index term requirements of inquiries put to system.
