Financing future intercity transportation systems
Financing of integrated highway transportation system, and supplemental high-speed rail system between Boston and Washington, DC, to existing transport systems that used federal, local government, and private funds is discussed, and it is emphasized that financing problem needs serious consideration and further study; magnitude of capital expenditures requires analysis of all alternatives for optimum use of resources.
