Intermittent heating of light structure buildings
Investigations were made on four buildings of medium to light structure to observe magnitude of fuel savings that could be achieved by intermittent heating, as compared with continuous heating; records of fuel consumption and temperatures were analyzed and tests confirmed that savings vary from 5% in buildings of comparatively heavy construction with heating under moderate control to 40% in light structure buildings with heating under close control.
