Effect of heat storage on room temperature
Use of light weight structural materials and large windows in modern buildings requires providing sufficient amount of heat-storing structural elements which would reduce sharp fluctuations of room temperature; mathematical and experimental study was made therefore of room heating process, and plots of temperature vs time were obtained under various conditions; results indicate that effect of heat storage is noticeable only if outer walls have high thermal insulating properties.
