Full-scale road experiments using rubberized surfacing materials 1953-63
Results of number of full-scale road experiments using rubberized surfacing materials carried out by British Road Research Laboratory, in cooperation with Natural Rubber Producers' Research Assn and Natural Rubber Bureau are reviewed and advantages obtained from addition of rubber are discussed; types of surfacings investigated were mastic asphalt, rolled asphalt, bitumen macadam, dense tar surfacing, tar surface dressing, and bitumen surface dressing.
