Heat transfer in liquid hydrocarbon fuel fires
Increased interest in behavior of items or systems exposed to fires resulting from accidents, include shipping containers for radioactive materials; response of item to fire environment is function of design of item, physical condition of item after accident, its position relative to fire, and fire environment itself; paper presents description of fire environment, development of analytical fire model, and method used successfully to simulate fire environments; comparisons between computed and experimentally determined data are made.
