A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
Discussion based on H. KUEHL'S contributions on grinding experiments begun 3 yr ago; Kuehl advances theory that early strength is due to formation of large quantities of gel, and later strengths are due to desiccation of this gel; work of other investigators; present author has found that addition of ground gypsum to separately ground clinker makes cement which is better for tensile or compression tests and superior concrete results.
