Radial steel cables were laid in form of spider web and covered by skin of wedge-shaped concrete slabs to form prestressed inverted dome for small shelter at Camp Columbia in Litchfield, Conn; new approach to problem of long, unsupported spans which overcomes hazard of "flutter".
