Circumferential stresses in prestressed pipes
Stresses in prestressed concrete pipes are normally calculated on assumption that concrete is elastic and that due allowance is made for shrinkage and creep of concrete and for creep or relaxation of steel; amounts allowed in calculations for these properties are based on laboratory data; theory is given for both non-cylinder and cylinder type of pipe.
