Practical design method of circular cylindrical reinforced concrete silos
Simple design formulas and values of related coefficients are given in tables for quick calculation of pressures acting in silo wall and bottom as well as of distribution of edge disturbances; own weight, loads acting on upper edge, exponentially distributed horizontal stresses, effect of bottom plate, as well as uniform thermal stresses, (or concrete shrinkage) and nonuniform thermal stresses are taken into consideration.
