Problem of natural vibration, wind-excited forces, and aerodynamic stability of suspended roofs
Modified fundamental equation established by Kloeppel and Lie (1943) for suspension bridges is applied to calculation of oscillation period and maximum amplitudes of damped wind-excited oscillations of suspended roofs; oscillation-damping patented Jawerth diagonal cable system for suspended roof was experimentally investigated; effect of wind gusts and wind vortices on oscillation amplitude is discussed.
