Roofing stands at New stadium at Chalon-sur-saone (France)
Constructional details are given of extensive 136 m long 19 m wide steelframed stadium roof which provides cover for 4000 seated spectators; roof outline resembles that of airplane wing; roof is carried on eight reinforced concrete columns set at 18 m centers and projects 5 m beyond them; roofing is in 0.8 mm thick galvanized steel sheeting; special rigid fixing device was used for roof sheeting; total weight of steelwork is 111 tons.
