Soil pulverization and lime migration in soil-lime stabilization
Investigation was initiated to study effect on soil-lime stabilization of one variable, degree of pulverization before compaction; evaluation of effects of free lime migration into stabilized unmixed soil lumps within cured soil-lime and soil-cement; soil used in investigation was Sharpsburg series plastic loess from Clarke County, Iowa; sample was taken from B horizon at depth between 12 and 46 in.; commercially available calcitic hydrated lime was used.
