Continuously reinforced concrete pavements
Theory and design of continuous reinforcement and "so-let-it-crack" philosophy are discussed; examination of construction techniques differing as to, whether concrete is placed in one or two lifts, whether loose bar reinforcing or welded wire fabric is used, and in degree of mechanization exercised; elimination of transverse construction joints; terminal joint design; end anchorage. (See also n 6 June 1965 p 211-13)
