Theoretical aspects of asphalt concrete mix design
Factors important in designing bituminous pavement mix are discussed with concentration on mix compaction, selection of optimum bitumen content, determination of stability or shear strength of compacted mix, and prediction of bearing capacity of pavement surface course when there is adequate strength in underlying foundation materials.
