Experimental investigations of magnetic-triode type thermionic energy converter
First results of experiments performed in 1963 at Warsaw Technical University with converter model built by Industrial Institute of Electronics; device was worked out by G.N.Hatsopoulos (1956) and J.A. Welsh (1959); electrodes were BaO impregnated cathodes with indirect heaters; accelerating electrode was thin molybdenum plate; further studies are planned for investigation of discrepancies with theory.
