A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
Construction of second deep water port in Ghana included 12 deep water berths, oil berth, small dry dock and slipways, large fishing harbor, with all supporting land installations, and start of 900-ft long graving dock and modern shipbuilding and shipbreaking yards; 17, 400 ft of rock breakwaters, whose form was determined by hydraulic model tests, and massive rock dredging, were features of development; new and economical design of concrete block wall was devised for 11,600 ft of quays which were built.
